0.1 Early Influences & Growing Up

I grew up traveling between Australia and the U.S. as a dual citizen. Long road trips were filled with doodling and drawing while watching my dad—a skilled tradesman and engineer—fix anything and everything. Watching him work sparked my early fascination with how things were built and how they worked.

0.2 Discovering Design

My journey into design started in high school art classes. I didn’t know I had a talent for it until my teacher pushed me to explore it further. Winning awards for painting and meeting recruiters from local Art school, opened my eyes to the world of industrial design. The more I learned, the more I realized that design is how my brain naturally works—I think in 3D and love solving problems visually.

0.3 A Pivotal Journey

After high school, I took my own version of a “walkabout,” traveling across Australia solo for six months. During that trip, I read an inflight magazine article on industrial design that left a lasting impression. By the time I returned home, all the signs were clear—it was time to pursue design full-time.

0.4 Building My Skills

I studied Industrial Design at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), with a minor in photography and business classes at Marquette University. My curiosity pushed me to explore as many creative avenues as possible, taking on diverse projects and diving deep into different areas of design.

0.5 Design as a Way of Thinkin

I call it “non-linear connections”—the unique ability to apply a wide range of concepts, mechanisms, tools, and processes to each project. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of observing and working with nearly every manufacturing process: woven, non-woven, sewn, bonded, glued, printed, formed, pressed, extruded, blown, and assembled. I’ve collaborated with world-class agencies like Ogilvy, IDEO, and Landor and learned how to build brands from the ground up.

0.6 What I’m Working On Now

These days, I’m juggling a few different ventures:

Landscaping Business: I’m exploring how service design can better serve my local community.

Cabinetry Projects: I find great satisfaction in designing an idea and quickly bringing it to life with my hands.

Tiny Homes: I am currently building a tiny home for a client. This project has been challenging but rewarding. Although it's a small home, it involves a high level of complexity that I enjoy tackling.

AI Tools: With all the discussion around AI, I have set objectives to evaluate various relevant tools and assess how they can facilitate creative and brand development.

My approach remains consistent across all these projects: understand the objective, research possibilities, define criteria, and execute. This methodology guides my thinking, regardless of the size or type of project.

0.7 Life Beyond Work

Outside of work, my wife and I love traveling in our Jeep. Our motto: “It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.” We used to plan detailed itineraries, but now we set a destination and allow ourselves the freedom to explore. This approach keeps us relaxed and open to unexpected adventures, interesting views, and new people.

I’m passionate about the great outdoors and love to spend my time camping under the stars, casting a line while fishing, and hitting the trails for a good hike. There's nothing quite like capturing stunning landscapes through photography or gliding across the water in my kayak. I also enjoy embarking on adventures with my dogs, exploring new places together. Each experience fuels my love for nature and adventure! Below are some images from our adventures

Photography

One of my main reasons for travel other than adventrureing with my wife is to do photography. below is what im working on.  feel free to contact me and leave feedback.
